New DRIVE ANGRY Trailer & Poster Land

Oh joy - Nicolas Cage is back to his old tricks. This time, fresh from playing Disney wizards with Jay Baruchel, Cage has turned out for 'My Bloody Valentine 3D's' Patrick Lussier in 'Drive Angry', playing a vengeful father who chases after the cult members who killed his daughter and took her child.

The film, written by Todd Farmer (who also worked with Lussier on 'My Bloody Valentine'), co-stars Amber Heard, William Fichtner, David Morse, Billy Burke and Katy Mixon, and now has a generic looking poster (which gives nothing of its supposed horror flavour away) and a trailer.

Here's the poster...

Is it just me or does this look like the bastard child of a God-forsaken orgy of 'Taken', 'Constantine', 'Death Proof' and 'Ghost Rider'? AND... why exactly is Stone Cold Steve Austin not playing the title role - surely this sort of thing is exactly what constitutes his film career? It even has one of those pseudo-Steven Segal titles that ex-WWE stars seem naturally attracted to.

This one's aiming for a February 11, 2011 release, and it's shot in 3D by golly!
