New Minion Ride Opening At Universal Orlando Resort Summer 2023

Universal Orlando Resort have just announced the opening of a brand new attraction; Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast is coming to Universal Studios Florida.

Set to open in summer 2023, the attraction will be a "blaster game experience". You'll be able to compete against others to see if you have what it takes to become a supervillain. You'll find yourself at Villain-Con – the biggest criminal convention on the planet. Here you will try and become a member of the "The Vicious 6". With your interactive blaster you will head down the "motion-based pathway" and score points as you go.

To become the latest member of "The Vicious 6" you'll need to blast and cause as much mayhem as possible. The attraction contains "state-of-the-art gaming interactivity and elaborate physical sets" and sees guests in "immersive environments, nefarious villains and tons of mischievous Minions".

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast will become the centre piece of Minion Land on Illumination Ave. The new land within Universal Studios Florida will not just feature the new attraction but also a brand new Minion Café and the already popular Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride. The land will also contain 'surprises inspired by popular characters from Illumination’s blockbuster franchises".

The new area of Universal Studios Florida has replaced Shrek 4-D and the Monsters Cafe which both closed earlier this year.

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast and Minion Land will be blasting into life next summer.
