New Suicide Squad Trailer Will Debut In January

We'll also get our first look at Wonder Woman.

The CW has announced that on January 19th they'll be hosting a special entitled DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, in which they'll show off the brand-spanking new trailer for Suicide Squad and some first-look footage of Wonder Woman. The special will be hosted by filmmaker/cult icon/geek figurehead Kevin Smith and DC Comics' Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, and you may recall that Kevin Smith previously did one of these for the Home Entertainment release of Man of Steel. In that online live stream he interviewed Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams and teased elements of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. The half-hour show will take a look at Warner Bros. upcoming slate of DC film adaps, with an extended look at BvS as well as peering ahead down the road at 2017's Justice League: Part One. On hand for interviews will be Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, along with Snyder and Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins. It should make for an entertaining 30 minutes, and Warner Bros. are obviously looking to generate as much goodwill and hype as possible for their burgeoning cinematic universe. Smith is a great choice for hosting duties as his enthusiasm tends to be infectious, but in all honesty I couldn't give a f*ck about Batman v Superman - gimme that Suicide Squad trailer!

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released on 25th March 2016. Suicide Squad is released on 5 August 2016.
