NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET returns April 16th 2010

On April 16th 2010, Freddy Krueger will return in a NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. nightmare-on-elm At this point, we don't know who is playing him with the early rumor of Billy Bob Thornton seemingly being debunked, and fan favourite Jackie Earle Haley being "curious" about the role but has not yet spoke seriously to Platinum Dunes about it. Production begins this April from a script by CAPE FEAR writer Wesley Strick and directed by Sam Bayer. Are we hoping in vein that Platinum Dunes might get Robert Englund back?

Also in other news, THE BOAT THAT ROCKED has finally got a U.S. release, it will open August 28th.
