Now Mr. Craig, you are contracted to be 007 till 2014!

Craig signs up to four more Bond movies, which should see him play the character for the best part of the next 10 years.

There's a juicy bit of information hidden away in an article from The Hollywood Reporter, which Rope of Silicon have brought to our attention. MGM chairman and CEO Harry Sloan has revealed that Daniel Craig has signed on to star in four more James Bond movies, adding an extra movie to his previously contracted three. This would see Craig starring as 007 until at least 2014, as the current plan seems to be to release a new Bond movie every other year. Craig would then have starred in five Bond movies taking him up to Bond 25, which would be one behind the legendary Sean Connery and two behind Roger Moore. His next Bond outing will be in the still untitled Bond 22, which will be filming soon (if not already) for a November 08 release.

There's no doubt that Casino Royale was a huge success in reviving the almost dead franchise and the casting of Daniel Craig went an awful long way towards that. I still think that Craig needed to be slightly more likable as Bond but he did a superb job with the character the producers gave him. Four more Bond's with Craig as Britian's super spy? Sounds good to me... if only we could get Christian Bale to make that sort of committment with Batman.
