Of Course Tommy Wiseau Has Made A Joker Audition Tape

Why wouldn't he?

Tommy Wiseau Joker
Nerdist

Not content with forever being known as that guy who made that terrible movie, Tommy Wiseau has recently made a break for mainstream legitimacy recently, in the wake of the success of The Disaster Artist. Sadly, it hasn't exactly gone to plan as he was unsuccessful in his plan to get hold of tickets to the Oscars and he's - as of yet - not been handed any major roles to speak of.

But you can't fault his determination, even if the logic isn't quite there. And there's nobody in Hollywood capable of telling him that his very public attempts to force his way into consideration for the Joker role is anything but a marvelous idea. Particularly when fans are responding to it so well - without even the slightest hint of irony, of course.

Now, he's teamed up with Nerdist to put together an actual audition tape in which he goes full Joker (and actually looks great) and recites lines from Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson's Jokers.

It's really... quite something...

So will it do any good? It's not likely Warner Bros are even going to have the conversation seriously, but maybe it'll get him some work somewhere else? Surely a role in a Sharknado movie isn't out of the question?

And hey, at least this will bring some more attention to the upcoming blu-ray release of The Disaster Artist.
