1. There's No Sense Of Plot

There's a fine balance to be struck with trailers, because generally you don't want them to give too much away, but they should give you SOME idea of what to expect from the film.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood's teaser doesn't really do this, as it instead trades on the reputation of its cast and director, and its own impeccable sense of style. And in fairness, that's probably enough, but it does feel like it's just missing a little something with regards to a hint or tease of what the movie's really going to be doing.

It's shaping up to be slightly Pulp Fiction-esque with its various narrative strands, but while everything here looks really good, not much of it looks like a coherent story as it is so much a series of cool images. We know Dalton is a struggling actor, we know the Manson murders will be involved somehow, and that's about it, and it would've been nice to have just a small hint of actual plot.

What did you think of the teaser trailer? Let us know down in the comments.
