Oscars 2013: Remembering The Most Famous Infamous Speeches Ever

4. Michael Moore - Best Documentary Feature (Bowling For Columbine)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7Is43K6lrg Michael Moore has always been outspoken on his beliefs, and during the early stages of the war in Afghanistan, Moore found himself at the podium in front of an audience of a billion people and a camera. When he accepted the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature for Bowling For Columbine, Moore invited all of his fellow Documentary film-makers up to the stage to share in his moment. Moore turns an opportunity to shine a light on the importance of non-fiction film-making, and then begins a rant against then US President George W Bush, calling him out as a "ficticious President". His remarks are met with a smattering of boos and cheers from the audience, making this the first time an Oscar winner has been booed off stage for their speech, that is until Pauly Shore one day picks up his lifetime achievement award.
