The Nominees: The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game, Interstellar, Mr. Turner, The Theory Of Everything Who Will Win? The Grand Budapest Hotel Who Should Win? The Theory Of Everything There's no overwhelmingly obvious best score here (Birdman's drums were disqualified), but there's enough distinction here to make for an interesting race, with The Grand Budapest Hotel likely to come out on top (Alexandre Desplat has good odds, with two scores in contention). However, The Theory Of Everything's brilliance shouldn't be ignored. Not succumbing to inducing tears by piano like many other biopic soundtracks, it's a joyous score that really ties James Marsh's film together.
