14. The Vice Makeup Team's Awkward Acceptance Speech

Vice then went on to win a much-deserved Best Makeup & Hairstyling Oscar, leading to by far the most awkward acceptance speech of the night, as the three winners randomly talked over one another as they dispassionately read out a list of thank-yous.

Nerves are understandable, of course, but the speech dragged on for what felt like an eternity even as the play-off music blared out, leading to the stage mic eventually being cut off in order to get them away from the podium.

In a night that was surprisingly low on truly cringe-worthy moments, this was surely the most embarrassing.
