5. Rebel Wilson & James Corden Hit The Stage As Cats

Perhaps the most demented - and certainly the most self-deprecating - moment of the night occured when Cats stars Rebel Wilson and James Corden came out to the stage to present the Best Visual Effects Oscar dressed in, yup, cat costumes.

In a deliciously catty put-down of their own maligned movie, the pair told the crowd, "As cast members of the motion picture Cats, nobody more than us understands the importance of [in unison] good visual effects."

And when it came time to announce the winner of the Oscar, they delayed the announcement by pawing over the microphone for another 15 seconds. 1917 won the award, by the way.

As bad a movie as Cats is, it's nice to see that the cast aren't beating themselves up over it too much.
