Oscars 2020: 15 WTF Moments
3. Renée Zellweger's Rambling Best Actress Speech
Regardless of what you make of Renée Zellweger's Best Actress Oscar win, her acceptance speech sure was a strange one.
The now two-time Oscar winner took to the stage to offer up a rambling, almost five-minute speech in which she effectively tried to offer all things for all people, paying tribute to not only the cast and crew of the film and Judy Garland herself, but also firefighters and, perhaps most unexpectedly, namedropping Venus and Serena Williams among her declared heroes.
Filled with "ums" and far too long and directionless to be a genuinely good speech, it really only compounded the frustration felt by some that she even won at all.
