Best Costume is one of few competitions this year that has always had a winner, and that's Poor Things, a film so rife with stunning Gothic-inspired costume design that it's impossible not to see it as one of the fantasy's greatest achievements.

To its credit (and for all its flaws), Ridley Scott's Napoleon makes for its own visually sublime achievement in the costume department, but it won't be enough to knock Poor Things off its pedestal. This one was decided as soon as the first trailer dropped.
