Oscars: Every Best Picture Winner Ever Ranked From Worst To Best

60. The Artist (2011)

Perhaps no Best Picture winner of the past half-century has been as quickly forgotten as The Artist, a charming, sharply directed riff on classic silent movies that managed to prevail in an incredibly weak year that included dubious competition in the likes of Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Help and War Horse.

Do many still remember why Jean Dujardin's (admittedly decent) performance won Best Actor over Gary Oldman for Tinker Tailor Solider Spy? In fact, can you remember much about the movie at all apart from that lovely dog?

It's an enjoyable sit, to be sure, and executes its cute concept with panache, but have you ever had a desire to watch it again? Be honest.
