Oscars: Every Best Picture Winner Ever Ranked From Worst To Best

Though it's frequently complained-about that Martin Scorsese won his long-overdue Best Director Oscar for the wrong movie, it's hard to deny the brilliance of this remake of Hong Kong cult hit Infernal Affairs.

Touting one of the best casts of any movie this century - has Mark Wahlberg ever been better? - a script both wittily hilarious and ferociously savage, and Scorsese's typically taut, impeccable direction, it's a masterful crime thriller that's still much-discussed over a decade later (can people finally shut up about that rat in the final shot?)

While it doesn't quite reach the heights of the director's oeuvre, it is one of his very best late-period works and one of the all-time most accessible Best Picture winners.
