Peter Sarsgaard's Mysterious Role In The Batman Revealed!

But could this all merely be a cover-up for ANOTHER role for the actor?

With Matt Reeves having now gone public to confirm that, yes, production is indeed underway on his Robert Pattinson-headlined The Batman, that’s since seen Warner Brothers release the full cast list for the movie.

Previously, we’d known who the majority of the film’s cast were to play, although there was some uncertainly over which role Peter Sarsgaard was playing in the picture.

Many had speculated that the Jarhead actor could well be playing Harvey Dent, aka Two-Face, in the movie. In this new listing, however, Sarsgaard is down as playing Gil Colson. For those unaware of Colson, he’s a relatively recent comic book creation who’s the District Attorney of Gotham City.

Already though, some are suggesting that Sarsgaard as Gil Colson may well be a ruse – with him really playing fellow DA, Harvey Dent.

Given that Matt Reeves himself took to Twitter to announce each new cast addition and tease their role in the movie, it seemed a little strange that his confirmation of Peter Sarsgaard saw not even the slightest of hint towards his role in the film. And now, the conspiracy theorists amongst us are thinking that this Gil Golson notion is merely a bluff to conceal Sarsgaard’s real role as Harvey.

Of course, the only way we’ll know for certain on all of this is when The Batman hits the silver screen on June 25th, 2021.
