4. Josh Trank
Who? One of the biggest surprises of last year was the low budget found footage superhero film, Chronicle. With a budget of only $12 million, the film's strange and intense marketing plan was successful and it ended up grossing $126 million worldwide. First time film director Josh Trank, took a very overused and tired type of filmmaking and made it worthwhile again with the use of impressive special effects and incredible visual style. Trank received so much praise after Chronicle that he was selected to direct the reboot for the Fantastic Four that will be released in 2015. Why Should He Be Involved? Now it seems unlikely that Trank will be selected for two different Marvel properties€but he already has been. He is also rumoured as the top contender to direct a Venom film that will have no relation to the poor adaptation of the character in Spider-Man 3. So if he has already been selected for two Marvel movies, why not three? The next Hulk sequel would not be released until at least 2016, so it's possible that when Trank is done directing both The Fantastic Four and Venom reboots he could be the next director to tackle the Hulk. His ability to capture both emotional and action packed scenes could just be what the Hulk franchise needs at this point.
