Yeah I'm in agreement too - the first one sheet for
Little Fockers is an embarrassing rush job, and yet it's all Universal's marketing department needed to successfully promote their movie. Stars
Robert De Niro and
Ben Stiller in a recognisable pose from the series, a tagline that jogs your memory about their eternal conflict and the heads of Joe Popcorn will have been turned. You watch them in your local theatre lobby when this poster is up and how much finger pointing and "oh yeah, I gotta see that" comments you hear. I have absolutely no faith in Little Fockers, all the jokes in this series dried up with the flat second movie. Worse too that
Dustin Hoffman bailed because of a terrible script (and he did Meet The Fockers, so what does that tell ya?) and really, it's a mistake calling it Little Fockers, or Meet the Parents: Little Fockers as it's known internationally.
Meet the Little Fockers was a clear title that always guaranteed a chuckle. Why was it dropped?

Servicable comedy helmer
Paul Levitz (In Good Company, American Pie) takes over directing duties from
Jay Roach who was busy making
Dinner For Schmucks. He will be working from a script once again written by series writer
John Hamburg. Stiller/De Niro reprise, as do
Teri Polo, Owen Wilson and
Barbara Streisand. Presumably they killed off Focker's dad when Hoffman bailed.
Jessica Alba, Harvey Keitel and
Laura Dern join what hopefully, surely, is the last in this two movie bloated premise - and will be released Dec. 22nd.
