Poster: THE COTTAGE

THE COTTAGE, the latest low-budget horror from the British Isles has secured a March 14th release date in the U.K, with distributor Pathe also giving us our first look at a official poster for the movie. The quad is below showing it's three biggest stars Andy Serkis, Reece Shearsmith and Jennifer Ellison...

The black comedy with the great tagline "Get off his land!" follows four characters who cross paths with a psycho farmer who wants to kill the trespassers for venturing on his private property. Yeah it's going to be like an Elmer Fudd cartoon but I guess there is a real serious hidden issue beneath this movie. It's a common debate in the U.K. about the restricted rights you have as a farmer to protect your land from trespassers who attempt to burgle your premises, the law seemingly protecting the criminals than the innocent farmers. Though I don't think the political agenda was on anyone's mind here. The movie comes from Paul Andrew Williams, the writer/director of the acclaimed LONDON TO BRIGHTON and unless it generates the same kind of buzz as SEVERANCE, then it's unlikely to get a U.S. distribution. source - bloody disgusting
