Power Rangers Review: 7 Ups & 4 Downs

3. The Rangers Don't Suit Up Until The End Of The Movie

One of the most surprising things about this film is that the Rangers don't actually fully suit up as a team until 91 minutes in (it's barely 110 minutes long minus credits). Though there are scattered glimpses of the suits throughout the movie and one infuriating tease at the mid-way point, the suited-up action is saved for the big finale.

It's a shame the Rangers are only in their suits for about 20 minutes of screen time, but you'll probably be less mad than you expect, because the build-up actually works shockingly well and doesn't just feel like filler ahead of the big showdown.

At least the sequel can open with an awesome action sequence and keep them coming throughout the movie.
