P.R. girl from Fox reviews MAX PAYNE exclusively for OWF!

An Obsessed With Film criticsaw MAX PAYNE recently at a press screening exclusively for this site but just before the film started he was forced to silence by a non-disclosure agreement. However his feedback e-mail to me after the screening, I believe, is good to print. He never actually reviews anything about the film, so surely this is fine. If it's not, it will be removed sometime today...

Attached is my review of MAX PAYNE. It's been a while since I last did a review, so apologies for the rust. I'm an American and my head is spinning with election buzz! I should tell you that at the press screening, they made me sign some paper stating that my review wouldn't be posted until the 10th of November (the release date is the 14th). , I guess they expected it to get slaughtered by the critics and maybe wanted to blunt it as much as possible. I'm surprised that they even showed this to critics. I was having a chat with one of the PR girls from Fox, and when I asked her if she liked the film, she looked down at her feet and said something about how "the snow is pretty" or whatever. I can't even....ugh....I mean, just last night I saw Terence Davies at the BFI, and his film OF TIME AND THE CITY nearly didn't get made because they had a hard time raising £250,000 to make it, and it's one of the best films of the year.
Seriously, it's incredible how some of these p.r. companies work in old Blighty. MAX PAYNE opened weeks ago in the U.S, hundreds of critics and fanboy reviews are readily available for anyone with the access to a computer. In my latest Empire magazine, there is a review just there and they are from the U.K? How does that work exactly? Although you can't read our review of Mark Wahlberg's movie, you can read 91 of the best critics in the world and their reviews HERE. 76 of them hated it. MAX PAYNE opens Nov. 14th in the U.K. and is already out in U.S. cinema's.
