Predator: 15 Most WTF Franchise Moments (So Far)
2. The Missing Top Half Of Gary Busey's Body (Predator 2)
The sequence in which Peter Keyes (Gary Busey) and his men set a trap for the Predator in a slaughterhouse is one of Predator 2's best and most memorable set-pieces.
It concludes, inevitably, with the Predator slaughtering Keyes' men and then finally Keyes himself, by hurling a shuriken through the air, which slices through rows of meat before finally cutting him in half.
The weird thing is, we see Keyes' gory remains fall to the floor, except only the lower half of his body is actually visible. Fans have been debating it ever since, with some reasoning that Keyes may have instinctively gripped onto a piece of meat as he died, leaving his upper half clinging to it.
The far more plausible explanation is that it was an effects screw-up and director Stephen Hopkins simply assumed nobody would notice. The movie's newer-generation home video releases - especially the recent 4K version - only make it that much more bizarrely apparent.
