3. Venom Vs. Carnage

There's been a lot of hand-wringing over what exactly fans should expect from the Tom Hardy-starring Venom movie.

Will it have intimate ties to the MCU, along with a Tom Holland cameo? Will we only get a few scattered moments of Venom at the end of the film? And will the much-rumoured Carnage appear, or will he be saved for another movie?

It's especially interesting just how aggressively Sony has been downplaying Woody Harrelson's role in Venom, which has been heavily rumoured to see him playing Carnage. As such, it's possible that Harrelson merely has a cameo in Venom to set up his future appearance as a main antagonist.

For that reason, we'll hazard a guess that Venom Vs. Carnage will be confirmed by the end of the year, as long as Venom is at least a modest box office success. Given the movie's sensibly mid-range budget, it has a solid shot regardless of its eventual quality.
