Predicting 20 Highest Grossing Movies Of 2019

3. Frozen 2 ($1.3 Billion)

Frozen 2
Disney

Release Date: November 22

Frozen cracked a super-cool (sorry) $1.276 billion back in 2013 and became a veritable pop-culture phenom overnight, and pretty much everyone is jonesing like hell for this six-years-in-the-making sequel.

The teaser trailer for Frozen 2 quickly became the most viewed animation trailer of all time, cementing the thirst and therefore just how much moolah this thing is going to make.

Even if it doesn't quite deliver the same catchy, iconic songs that its predecessor did, on sheer branding goodwill alone, it shouldn't have much trouble skating (sorry) past the previous film's monstrous take and becoming the highest-grossing animation of all time.

The strongest evidence pointing to this is its extremely ripe release date: it hits screens with no direct competition for weeks in front of or behind it, so this is about as much of a dead cert as they come.
