Estimated Box Office Gross: $920 million In the wake of Heath Ledger's iconic, Oscar-winning performance as the Clown Prince of Gotham, any movie with the Joker in it is bound to do big bucks at the box office. Suicide Squad also happens to be the third movie in the soon-to-be DC Cinematic Universe, which means that fans of Batman and Superman and the Justice League will be desperate to see how it all fits together. If there's anything we've learned over the course of 2015, it's that cinematic universes mean money. And Suicide Squad really knows it. Though the movie probably doesn't have the same box office appeal as something like Batman v Superman; it promises to be grittier, more violent and will arguably wind up being a bit less mainstream - and less cartoonish, perhaps - than Zack Snyder's long-awaited film (David Ayer, director of End of Watch and Fury, serves as kind of proof of that). That said, Suicide Squad - with its sprawling cast made up of Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie and even Ben Affleck in a cameo capacity as Batman - is sure to set the box office on fire. If it doesn't crack the top 6 or 7 highest-grossing films, it'll come mighty close.
