10. The World's End
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjeMZLVlaAI The third outing in the "blood and ice cream trilogy" for director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, The World's End should be the best comedy released in 2013. The World's End features five childhood friends who reunite to repeat a pub crawl from their youth. Eventually, the friends realize that much more is going on than they initially realized. The World's End features one of the most consistently brilliant directors working today as well as one of the most dependable comedic duo's in Pegg and Frost. This time however, the crew adds one of films rising stars in Martin Freeman as well as another extremely good actor in Paddy Considine. The World's End will hopefully be the next film in Edgar Wright's string of brilliant action comedies as well as complete one of the more underrated trilogies of all time. The comedic science fiction genre has been neglected for a good while now but hopefully The World's End will live up to its potential as one of the best, and the funniest, movies of the year.

I love movies, literature, history, music and the NBA. I love all things nerdy including but not limited to Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and Firefly. My artistic idols are Dylan, Dostoevsky, and Malick and my goal in life is to become like Bernard Black from Black Books. When I die, I hope to turn into the space baby from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
