Predicting The Next 12 MCU Movies After Avengers 4
10. Doctor Strange 2
Though it's not actually confirmed and Strange was killed in Infinity War thanks to Thanos' snap, if Marvel don't announce a follow-up to Doctor Strange pretty close after Avengers 4's release, they will be making a massively unexpected mistake.
Predictions
We know that Mordo has unfinished business with the Sorcerors already, as the first movie's stinger promised as much and director Scott Derrickson's hints at using Nightmare as another villain would make sense.
Don't expect the Time Stone to be involved a great deal (if at all) because it may not even exist. Instead, Nightmare will likely be introduced as an ally of Mordo who says he wants to rebalance the universe by removing the meddlers and will then show his true colours as a power-hungry villain with designs on taking over. And expect a very big actor to play him.
Evidence?
The stinger sets up a sequel, Scott Derickson has spoken about what he'd do with a follow-up quite candidly and Marvel's existing model for movie releases is to option sequels into their character's contracts.
Plus, the end of Doctor Strange promised that "Doctor Strange will return" and that definitely didn't mean just in Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War.
