Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For Every Upcoming Marvel Movie
8. Spider-Man: Homecoming (83%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Effortlessly living up to prior incarnations, Spider-Man: Homecoming once again finds the iconic web-slinger on firm ground thanks to Jon Watts' solid direction, Tom Holland's impeccable performance and invaluable support from Robert Downey Jr."
Both Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies were given fairly mixed notices from critics and fans alike, though the success of inserting Spidey in Captain America: Civil War should have just about everyone retracting their claws.
We know that Tom Holland is an amazing Spider-Man, we know that he has amazing chemistry with Robert Downey Jr, and we know that Marisa Tomei is a great Aunt May, so there's not a lot of ways this one can be screwed up.
Plus, Jon Watts has promised a John Hughes-inspired high school movie tone that should mesh wonderfully with the MCU while creating an experience very different to what we've come to expect from Marvel.
And that's without mentioning the ridiculously talented supporting cast, including Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Tony Revolori, Logan Marshall-Green, Hannibal Buress, Abraham Attah, Martin Starr and many more.
This may be a major step-up for Watts (Clown, Cop Car) in terms of budget and style, but it's easy to be confident in the end-product with so much going right for it.
