Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For Every Upcoming Superhero Movie

5. The Batman (92%)

Batman Ben Affleck
Warner Bros. Pictures

Release Date: TBA

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Matt Reeves' phenomenal direction meets its match with a never-better Ben Affleck in a standalone Batman epic that captures the hero's essence while taking him to an ambitious new cinematic space."

Ever since Ben Affleck confounded audience skepticism with his fantastically visceral portrayal of the Caped Crusader in the deeply flawed Batman v Superman, fans have been eager to see the actor in a solo outing.

While he sadly won't be directing any longer due to personal issues, Planet of the Apes' Matt Reeves is an insanely strong replacement, and with Joe Manganiello tentatively penciled in to play the villainous Deathstroke, this could be the gritty follow-up to the Nolan movies thatfans unquestionably deserve.

It's hard to imagine it scoring less-than-strong reviews with so much talent attached, even if it perhaps won't score quite as highly as the Dark Knight Saga (and that's just fine).
