Prometheus 2: 10 Questions The Film Needs To Answer

9. Will Damon Lindelof Be Involved?

Let's face it, a lot of the media attention around Prometheus wasn't just about Ridley Scott's return to sci-fi or his re-emergence into the Xenomorphic mythos he'd helped create; it was the fact that 'LOST' co-showrunner Damon Lindelof was helming the final script. This news was met with a general cry of 'huh?' and soon the film's open-ended questions and plot left a lot of fans feeling rather... well, lost. The news that Prometheus will have a confirmed sequel has sent parts of the Internet into a spin, particularly given that Lindelof hasn't confirmed one way or another whether or not he will have any involvement in the film's script, story, or characters. While a lot of fans will no doubt decry that Mr Lindelof should keep his mitts away from the Alien world, and he has since claimed he will not be involved in the film, the guy did no doubt help provide tantalising leads and theories that have kept Prometheus fans debating and wondering about how this story will connect to the wider universe. Even if Lindelof has absolutely no involvement - and we're suspecting he may well end up having some kind of advisory or producer role down the line - the big overarching mysteries will be part of his mark on the universe regardless.
