Quentin Tarantino - Ranking His Films From Worst To Best

1. Pulp Fiction

How could it not be? Yes, it€™s become almost a cliché favourite film; yes, its posters adorn bedroom walls and t-shirts worn by people who don€™t otherwise care about cinema; yes, it€™s been parodied and post-parodied and even seen its status lessen as a consequence, but seriously, how could it not be? Maybe all these things have come about because of a shared belief across the strata, across both critical and commercial levels, across both populist and art-house crowds, across both true belief and hipster irony: Pulp Fiction is a f*cking great movie.

There€™s nothing fresh to be said about it, nothing new to analyse, no new light to shine upon it. It just is. There€™s no point listing the great moments, because you know what they are. There€™s no point quoting it, because someone you knew at university had a poster with the Ezequiel 25:17 speech on it. There€™s no point justifying its inclusion at the #1 spot because you knew it was going to be there. None of this matters, because we all love Pulp Fiction anyway, and even if it was last on this list you€™d still happily watch it tonight and maybe tomorrow night, too.

In the history of recent cinema there hasn€™t been a more universally loved (or ironically loathed) film. Its appeal and influence transcends this list. Go get a five-dollar-shake and forget about it.
