Quentin Tarantino Archives has a colour version of the script's front cover and suddenly this thing is starting to look more and more like it could be legit. Just seeing the title in
red crayons gave it such a unique Tarantino touch - no faker would ever try that. Time to really start getting excited.

A Southern but something that would "instantly get western nerds excited" so he's putting his hat on this. Then Trailers From Hell
confirmed it was legit on Twitter. Soooo... does this mean the John Brown slavery movie, and the
Franco Nero Spaghetti Western are one project? Unbelievably, it would seem yes. Tarantino finished the screenplay for his next movie last Tuesday. Expect the full script to leak online soon, as QT's scripts usually do...

has been talking about for the past few months, has had it's front cover allegedly leaked online. A tweet going around on Friday from Jay Baloney, aka
agenttrainee showcased a photo of an April 26th draft and it's front cover which is going with the title

I wrote last month, we've heard much rumblings about Tarantino's next film for a while now and all the signs point to his 7th film (if you count Kill Bill saga as one movie) being
A Southern, his long gestated semi-biopic of the life of
John Brown, a revolutionary U.S. abolitionist who planned a revolt in 1859 to end slavery for good. Wiki says of Brown;
He led the Pottawatomie Massacre in 1856 in Bleeding Kansas and made his name in the unsuccessful raid at Harpers Ferry in 1859. He was tried and executed for treason against the state of Virginia, murder, and conspiracy later that year. Brown has been called the most controversial of all 19th-century Americans.
With Oscar winning Inglourious Basterds actor Christoph Waltz the only man cast for the movie so far, we also noted a physical resemblance between Waltz and Brown and came to the conclusion that's what part he had won;

HERE. So back to this script leak and why would Tarantino change that movie A Southern, a perfect title, to something so purposefully schlock and B-movie fest like Django Unchained? I just can't believe it. The title, fake or not, is alluding to
Django, a 1966 Italian spaghetti western directed by
Sergio Corbucci, and is well known to be one of Tarantino's favourite movies and one he has taken much from over the years. The movie starred
Franco Nero in the title role.

Interestingly, the now 69 year old Nero
has been talking himself about a straight spaghetti western that Tarantino was brewing for him to star in alongside
Keith Carradine and
Treat Williams - which we heard Tarantino was writing, perhaps for a protege to direct. Now Django Unleashed sounds like the PERFECT title for that project, especially as the original Django is set to star. So we are at a little of a quandary here. We know Tarantino is turning or already has turned in a screenplay to The Weinsteins for 'A Southern' so the timeline of the leak makes sense, but then the title doesn't fit ... but it does fit with another project Tarantino was brewing but probably not to direct.
Phew! Make your own mind up on this one but my cards are resting on a complete act of fakery. If I'm wrong John Baloney, prove it. Send me the full script....
