Quiz: How Well Do You Remember Gladiator?

For all those swords and sandals movie lovers out there, it doesn't get too much better than Russell Crowe's Gladiator. The action epic is full to the brim of blood, violence, love, betrayal, revenge and redemption - in short, it has it all in this almost three hour long epic.

Insight to the lives of slaves fighting within the gladiator pits in Roman culture is not an uncommon theme in other movies focused on the same historical period, so it was always going to take something special for this movie to stand out from the crowd already including the likes of Spartacus and Ben-Hur.

But boy did it easily take the top spot for best gladiator movie of all time, taking home many awards and pretty much universal critical acclaim. It was so successful, in fact, that we almost got a sequel also starring Crowe as a revived (and time travelling) Maximus. The mind boggles.
