Radha Mitchell joins SURROGATES

Silent Hill actress joins Bruce Willis in Jonathan Mostow's cool sounding sci-fi thriller. But then again, his movies always do look good on paper!

If only this project had a decent director and writing crew, we might actually have something to look forward to. Coming Soon have learned that Silent Hill actress Radha Mitchell will star opposite the already cast Bruce Willis in Surrogates, the really cool sounding sci-fi thriller based on the acclaimed Top Shelf graphic novel.

Directing the movie is Jonathan Mostow, he of Terminator 3 and U571 fame from a script by Michael Ferris and John D. Brancato who wrote T3...
The story is set in the near future, where humans live in isolation and interact vicariously through surrogate robots who are better-looking versions of themselves. Willis plays a cop who, through his surrogate, investigates the murders of others' surrogates. The cop is forced to venture from his own home for the first time in years and unravels a conspiracy.
GREAT plot which is no doubt touching on the idea that you are putting your life at risk each and every time you step out of your front door and that with more and more advances in technology, human interaction is sadly becoming less a priority in the daily lives of many people. Like I say cool cast... cool plot but not much of a director. We haven't seen Bruce Willis do the fanboy sci-fi gig in a while though and in the past he's made movies by shit directors feel interesting, so let's (no matter how hard that might be) keep the faith. Shooting begins next month in Boston for a November release.
