Ralph Fiennes shacks up with Kiera Knightley in The Duchess

But little does he know, she is sleeping around with Dominic Cooper in this 18th century costume drama scandal!

Kiera Knightley's costume drama The Duchess where she plays English aristocrat Georgianna, The Duchess of Devonshire (who had a life which shared some resemblance to Princess Diana many say) has added more to it's cast. Ralph Fiennes, no stranger at all to period movies has signed up to play her husband, the Duke of Devonshire. Dominic Cooper who was great in Starter for Ten and was also in The History Boys will play her lover. He seems a little young to me but then you forget that Knightley is only 22 and Cooper is actually the one that is much older. Hayley Atwell, the female lead of Woody Allen's upcoming (well if your in the U.S. anyway) Cassandra's Dream will play Kiera's best friend, Lady Bess Foster. Shooting is set to begin on Sept. 23rd in London with Saul Dibb directing. Knightley and Fiennes in a period drama? Rather predictable there but these two know exactly how to play these roles and when they look comfortable acting in them, then we can feel comfortable watching them. Loved Knightley in Pride and Prejudice, didn't care for her too much in Atonement (although she wasn't particularly bad or anything, I just didn't warm to her) so more of the latter and less of the former please.
