Rambo: Last Blood Review - 4 Ups & 5 Downs

1. It's A Weak "End" For The Franchise

No spoilers here of course, but it's no secret that Last Blood by title alone was created as the swan song for the John Rambo character...despite Stallone claiming in recent months that he'd be up for a sixth movie.

And regardless of what happens to Rambo by the end of this film, there's very little feeling of finality to the series. Despite an end credits montage showcasing the series' most iconic moments, this for the most part feels like a totally stock, down-the-line revenge thriller with the Rambo branding.

If it truly is the last Rambo film, it's a pretty limp way to end things, especially as the fourth film actually left the character in an affecting and appropriate place.

So, Last Blood isn't great, but it's not a total wash either. Here's what actually worked...
