18. Resident Evil: Afterlife

Box Office: $300.2 million (#10)

The fourth Resident Evil film may not be quite as unbearable as The Final Chapter, but it's still a woefully inane actioner that overdoses on slow-motion and only spuriously honours the source material.

Afterlife was the first Resident Evil movie to be released in 3D, and while Anderson clearly has a little fun with the technology (especially during the water-soaked executioner fight), for the most part this is more of the daft same.

Wentworth Miller makes for a rather forgettable Chris Redfield, the action sequences are more comically ridiculous than genuinely entertaining, and even the mid-credits reveal (that Jill is under Wesker's mind control) can't muster much excitement for the next film.
