Ranking April 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

16. Table 19

Table 19 Toni Revolori Anna Kendrick Stephen Merchant June Squibb
Fox Searchlight

RottenTomatoes Score: 22% (4.5/10)

Box Office: Despite opening in 868 theaters in the U.S., costing just $5 million and starring the delightful Anna Kendrick, this barely-marketed comedy has just about scraped back two-thirds of its minuscule budget. Ouch.

Verdict: An extremely low-energy and forgettable rom-com, Table 19 isn't terrible by any means, and its excellent cast carries it so far, but considering the brilliant Mark and Jay Duplass wrote the screenplay, viewers will surely be expecting more than mere mediocrity.

You could stream much worse on a bored Sunday, but given the pedigree in front of and behind the camera, this one's curiously sloppy.
