Ranking December 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

1. Anomalisa

RottenTomatoes Score: 97% (9.1) Box Office: The $8 million animated drama has only just opened on limited release in four cinemas and expands wide through January, though it remains to be seen whether the film can find a larger audience given its challenging subject matter and unconventional form. Verdict: Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich) adds another singular feather in his cap with this uniquely adult animated film about a customer service expert suffering an existential crisis while holed up in a swanky hotel. David Thewlis and Jennifer Jason Leigh give two of the most stirring performances of the year in any film, either animated or live-action. It's sad, it's almost hilariously depressing and won't be for everyone, but for those prepared to accept Kaufman's unflinching worldview, it's quite the gorgeous treat indeed. And if all that doesn't sell you, there's full-frontal puppet nudity too. What did you think of 2015's movies? Favourites? What did you hate? Shout them out in the comments!
