Ranking Every Disney Animated Movie From Worst To Best!
40. The Rescuers Down Under (1990)
Kind of weird that this IP was Disney's first choice for an animated sequel, but sure, let's go with it.
This one is definitely an improvement from the original. The characters, while still mostly boring, are more expressive this time around and it's easy to root for Bernard while he tries throughout to propose to Bianca. And the visuals are spectacular; truly one of Disney Animation Studios' greatest triumphs.
But overall? Eh... the story isn't great, it's too dark for kids (even darker than Black Cauldron in spots), and the Australian setting was kind of pointless in the grand scheme of things.
