24. Pinocchio (1940)
Aside from producing the beautiful melody that has since become synonymous with the fairytale world of Walt Disney ("When You Wish Upon a Star"), Pinocchio is a delightful (and surprisingly dark) story of doing the right thing.
Pinocchio, himself, is easy to root for because it's understandable why he would occasionally mess up; he's a literal sentient puppet who can't possibly differentiate between right and wrong.
But like... does anyone ever talk about how terrible Pinocchio's parental figures are? I mean, Geppetto "waits his whole life" for a child but then he's ready to just send him off alone to school 5 minutes after meeting him? And Jiminy Cricket is given one literal job as Pinocchio's conscience, and he's repeatedly awful at it. It's honestly super frustrating to watch at times.
