Ranking Every Disney Princess From Worst To Best

3. Rapunzel - Tangled

Rapunzel is like a better version of Ariel who preceded her and Anna who succeeded her.

She's an optimistic, innocent soul who is shut away from society and longs for something greater in life. And by "something greater," she doesn't necessarily mean love - really, she just wants to go outside of her tower and see those floating lanterns up close on her birthday.

What's exceptionally admirable, though, is just how much she appreciates every little bit of life in spite of her situation. Sure, she's trapped in this tower, but she's devoted that time to art, reading, music, and making her once-dismal space a bright and colorful one.

This is why it's even more beautiful to see how she reacts to the outside world.

Watching Rapunzel escape from her tower was not only uplifting - it was adorable. In these moments, she radiates joy and absolutely soaks in all of those simple things that others take for granted, and her happiness is contagious. Not only that, but she's surprisingly good with people despite having pretty much zero contact with anyone except Mother Gothel her entire life.

Simply put, Rapunzel outright defies every trope that could've been applied to her, becoming one of Disney's best princesses as a result.
