Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best
20. May Day (A View To A Kill, 1985)
If one needs to make a distress call, they’d better hope May Day doesn’t respond - as Max Zorin’s partner-in-crime, the freakishly powerful May Day is no rescuer.
The cryptic figure quickly makes a name for herself in A View To a Kill after leading Bond on a chase up the Eiffel Tower before parachuting off to a fast escape. She’s also known for lifting common thugs over her head and tossing them aside with utter contempt.
Already shown to be capable of manhandling any man she meets, it’s with great trepidation that 007 waits for May Day in her bed for what’s surely a strenuous time in the sack.
But nobody’s here to rate May Day’s romancing - she ranks highly for her physical formidability, bizarre appearance, and fierce loyalty… until she’s betrayed, that is.
After Zorin is revealed to be quite happy for May Day to get blown up as part of his villainous plot to flood Silicon Valley, she’s understandably miffed - and shifts her allegiance towards bringing him down.
The result? May Day sacrifices herself to steer a minecart of explosives into relative safety, roaring at Bond to make sure Zorin gets what’s coming to him. Despite his eventual fate, Zorin is still lucky May Day didn’t live to get her hands on him.
