Ranking EVERY James Bond Henchman From Worst To Best
3. Jaws (The Spy Who Loved Me, 1977; Moonraker, 1979)
In his 1977 prime, Jaws was an absolute monster.
Just look at poor Max Kalba's look of sheer terror when cornered by the steel-toothed titan in a confined space.
Jaws functioned as perhaps the defining adversary of the Roger Moore era - with his relentless aggression blending with an odd charm to provide the perfect counterpoint to Bond's jocularity and survival instincts.
There's no better image to represent their rivalry than the two of them facing off in their numerous encounters, flashing toothy grins at each other before their duels.
As Karl Stromberg's most fearsome creature (and that includes his collection of sharks), Jaws stalks Bond from the Pyramids all the way to the coasts of Sardinia and the Atlantis citadel. After surviving the events of The Spy Who Loved Me, Jaws becomes a hired killer - and judging by Hugo Drax's awed reaction when made aware of his availability, he's considered the crème de la crème.
So resumes his continuing tango with James Bond - though it ends with Jaws turning to the side of righteousness after falling in love (!).
Although his character shifted to a comedic figure, later on, none can deny the iconicity that Jaws brought to the James Bond franchise.
