Ranking Every Keanu Reeves Movie Worst To Best
14. The Matrix Reloaded (2003)
Though it absolutely fails to live up to the singular brilliance of the original Matrix, Reloaded is nevertheless a sublime action extravaganza in its own right.
The set-pieces are sometimes more ambitious than the technology of the time could support - especially the infamous Burly Brawl against dozens of Agent Smiths (Hugo Weaving) - but the highway car chase alone is worth the price of admission.
No matter its pretentious divergences, it's a worthy sequel even if it doesn't get close to reaching the original's heights.
13. John Wick (2014)
In 2014, the prospect of a Keanu Reeves-starring action thriller where he embarks on a blood-soaked revenge odyssey over a dead dog sounded like direct-to-VOD fodder, but it turned out to represent a major turning point for the actor's career.
John Wick single-handedly dragged Reeves out of a major career slump, re-establishing him as a palpable action hero with serious screen presence.
Taking full advantage of his signature stoicism while delivering crisply choreographed, visually coherent action sequences amid lashings of dark humour, this was a majorly refreshing outing for many reasons - and ultimately just the beginning of a franchise.
