The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman costume may seem tame by today's standards, lacking the newer design techniques and material that make the newer version more credible and cinematic. While that is a minus, all it needs is the right design, and the right actor to fit in it. If Henry Cavill wore a suit similar to this no one would have complained.
It is very similar to the Christopher Reeve version with a very comic-accurate classic design. Since it is the '90s it is made of spandex that has this shiny and silky look to it. It is darker than the Christopher Reeve suit but it is still bright that it can fully represent Superman as this bright and approachable figure.
With the red cape, the low neckline, and the large chest emblem, he looks strong and large.
There is nothing really to complain about here except that the technology and technique to get rid of the rough imperfections are not around yet. So we have to make do with the emblem that looks always slightly wrinkled or the cape that is not always placed well enough.
