Box Office: Edgar Wright's $34 million actioner is set to be another solid hit for the acclaimed director, impressively recouping its entire budget in its first week of release, no doubt propelled by incredible reviews and strong word-of-mouth.

Verdict: Wright delivers another astoundingly stylish effort which, while certainly not as funny as most of his prior films, does represent a major upping of scope for the director, as he tackles delirious car chases and action sequences that wouldn't feel out of place in a Fast and the Furious movie.

Ansel Elgort makes for a compelling lead, while Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey in particular provide strong support. In a summer chock full of overly familiar tentpoles, here's a slick, lean action flick that delivers something a little different.
