Ranking March 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

16. Gringo

Gringo David Oyelowo
STX Entertainment

RottenTomatoes Score: 39% (5.1/10)

Box Office: Budgetary information isn't available, but the David Oyelowo-starring crime comedy has made just $7 million so far. The marketing was atrocious and, honestly, this was ripe for getting picked up by Netflix and just foregoing an embarrassing theatrical release altogether (especially as STX misguidedly opted to release it wide rather than limited).

Verdict: Probably the worst thing that can be said about Gringo is that it's completely forgettable. Generically directed by Joel Edgerton's brother Nash, this crime comedy has fitfully fun moments, but fails to make the most of its terrific cast, especially a totally squandered Charlize Theron.

David Oyelowo and Sharlto Copley get most of the big laughs, while the Amanda Seyfried subplot is total dead weight, and by the time the end credits roll, it'll already start escaping from your memory.
