Ranking March 2019's Movies From Worst To Best

Disney's year of dominance kicks off.

With March behind us, blockbuster movie season is now in full swing, as the past month kick-started what's sure to be Disney's most profitable year ever at the box office.

Elsewhere, a rising auteur filmmaker wowed audiences once again, Netflix released a number of star-studded vehicles direct to streaming, and the art-house slate was as packed as ever.

It certainly wasn't a bad month for movies both big and small - there were mixed offerings, for sure, but only a single film which truly dared to be outright terrible.

Otherwise most of the big-hitters delivered within the ballpark of expectations both critically and commercially, while VOD and specialist releases provided plenty of relief from A-list excess.

April looks set to be an even bigger month, though, if single-handedly by virtue of Avengers: Endgame finally hitting cinemas.

That's not to ignore high-profile releases such as Pet Sematary, Shazam!, Laika's new film Missing Link and Hellboy, alongside a ton of smaller movies hitting Netflix (including Brie Larson's directorial debut Unicorn Store).

But before Endgame steals everyone's attention away, here's what hit and flopped during March...
