Ranking May 2015's Movies From Worst To Best

3. Good Kill

RottenTomatoes Score: 75% (6.4/10) Box Office: Budget information isn't yet available, though the film has only grossed $395,327 to date, which, given the juicy premise and Ethan Hawke's presence, is rather dispiriting. The Verdict: Good Kill is a war movie of another breed, and despite a rather limp subplot involving January Jones' character, a damn fine one at that. Having directed a few stinkers recently, The Truman Show writer Andrew Niccol comes surging back with a fascinating look at the issues facing drone pilots in the Army. Hawke is about as great as you'd expect and he's also lent fine support by Bruce Greenwood, too. It may not be a conventional, action-packed war movie at all, but it's still plenty tense and serves as a thought-provoking commentary on the increasing role proxy warfare plays in global combat.
